Zolo: User Guide / FAQ

Zolo is our digital business card sharing system, and ZoloCard is the tool making use of Zolo.

Each ZoloCard works with a unique URL dedicated to you, in the format of "myzolo.me/c/xxxxxxxx", of which "xxxxxxxx" is your unique Card ID. The NFC chip (if available) and QR code on your ZoloCard is directly linked to this unique URL by default.

By logging into your MyZolo account with your Card ID (and password) at www.myzolo.me, you can set up where the unique URL of your ZoloCard is linked to, such as the built-in Profile page or your own websites or social links. In other words, you can freely modify and control, at any time, what your ZoloCard is sharing when it is being tapped or scanned.

In your MyZolo account, you can also update your contact info that you want to share on your Profile page or Linkpage. In case you don't like the built-in Profile page or Linkpage, your ZoloCard can directly share your own page by any other platforms, such as LinkedIn, Linktree and so on.

To set up your ZoloCard for the first time, the easiest way is to tap your card on your phone (or scan the QR code on the card with your phone).

Then, your will be directed to a page with the "Set Up My Card" button. Click on that button, and then you will be directed to the Zolo portal log-in page, with your Card ID pre-filled. Next, enter the password that came with your ZoloCard to log in, and then you can set up your card and profile, change your password, etc.

Alternatively, you may go to www.myzolo.me and log in by typing the Card ID of your ZoloCard manually with the password that comes with it. Your Card ID is the last 8 characters of your unique card URL, which is printed on your card, and / or is the link of the QR code on (or the NFC tag in) your card. For example, if your unique card URL is "myzolo.me/c/atphwxgg", your Card ID will be "atphwxgg".

Log into your MyZolo account at www.myzolo.me with your Card ID and password. Once you have logged in successfully, you will be in the portal.

Click the "profile button" (the 3rd button or the middle button) on the navigation bar at the top to open the profile info tab, and then enter your contact information that you want to share, such as your phone numbers, email addresses and work address, and click the "Save" button.

You can also scroll to the bottom and add your profile picture (and remember to click the "Save" button after uploading your picture).

Your contact information will then automatically appear on your Profile page and Linkpage. Also, the vCard file (.vcf file, the digital business card file for saving your contact), which is shared on your pages, will be updated (except for the profile picture, which will not be included in your vCard file).

Log into your MyZolo account at www.myzolo.me with your Card ID and password. Once you have logged in successfully, you will be in the portal.

Click the "link button" (the 2nd button from the left) on the navigation bar at the top to open the link tab, and then enter your websites / URLs that you want to share, and add a name to each website (the name will be shown to represent the website on your Profile page and Linkpage). Remember to click the "Save" button each time when you add a link.

Your websites / URLs will then be automatically shared on your Profile page and Linkpage. Also, the vCard file (.vcf file, the digital business card file for saving your contact), which is shared on your pages, will be updated with the links as well.

The maximum number of links that can be added in each MyZolo account is 20.

The following languages are tested and well supported on the Profile page and Linkpage:

English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Slovak, and Romanian.

Once you have logged in, you will be on the "card" tab, or you may click the "card button" (the 1st button from the left) on the navigation bar at the top to open the card tab. And, you will see a dropdown list under "Link my ZoloCard to", with options such as "My Profile", "My Linkpage", "My Contact File (vCard)", and the links that you have added and saved in your Zolo account.

Choose the option or link that you want your ZoloCard to share when it is tapped (or its QR code is scanned) from the dropdown list, and then click the "Save" button.

Yes.

On your Profile page or Linkpage, there is a "save contact" button at the top right. When you share those pages and the others open them on their phone, they can click that button to download your vCard file (.vcf file, the digital business card file for saving your contact), which is automatically generated when you update and save your contact information and links.

Once they have downloaded your vCard file (on any modern smartphone), they can import your contact details from the file directly to their phone.

A vCard file or a .vfc file is an electronic business card file used to store and share contact information like names, phone numbers, emails and websites. It works on almost all phones and computers, making it easy to add new contacts quickly.

Once it is downloaded, it can be easily open and imported into a contact app like Apple Contacts or Google Contacts on any modern smartphone.

On your Profile page or Linkpage, there is a "save contact" button at the top right. When you share those pages and the others open them on their phone, they can click that button to download your vCard file and save your contact information easily.

Yes.

Once you have logged into your MyZolo account, you will be on the "card" tab, or you can click the "card button" (the 1st button from the left) on the navigation bar at the top to open the card tab. And, you will see a dropdown list under "Link my ZoloCard to". Choose the option "My Contact File (vCard)" from that dropdown list and then click the "Save" button.

Then, when someone taps or scans your ZoloCard, they will be directed to a page that only has a "Save My Contact" button. Once they click that button, they will immediately download your vCard file or .vcf file and can save your contact to their phone directly.

Yes.

Your ZoloCard's unique URL has the format of "www.myzolo.me/c/xxxxxxxx", of which "xxxxxxxx" is your unique Card ID. And, the URL of your Profile page will be: www.myzolo.me/p/xxxxxxxx

The URL of your Linkpage will be: www.myzolo.me/li/xxxxxxxx

The URL of your vCard page will be: www.myzolo.me/v/xxxxxxxx

You can share these page anywhere, even when you don't have your ZoloCard. For example, you may make QR codes of them and print them on your paper business cards.

Also, you can share your pages on your phone through your MyZolo account. Once you've logged in, click the "share button" (the 4th button from the left) on the navigation bar at the top to open the share tab, and then you may share your pages or your links with others with the QR codes on your phone screen. If you are sharing your vCard there, the QR code on your screen will be a "offline" vCard QR code, which allows an instant import of your contact details without going to your online vCard page.

The Profile page shows your profile picture, a "save contact" button (vCard download button), your name, your job title / role / position, your company / organization, your short note / bio, your phone numbers, your email addresses, your (work) address, your websites / links.

The Linkpage is more minimalistic. First, it shows a smaller profile picture. And, all the contact details (including the phone numbers, emails and address) are hidden on the page but, of course, they can still be saved directly by clicking the "save contact" button. In this way, your websites and links can be featured.

To allow the others to contact you directly when they are on your Profile page or Linkpage, simply add your contact details or your social links to your MyZolo account.

For the Profile page, the phone numbers, emails and address that you added to your account will be shown. When a phone number on your Profile is clicked, the default phone app will be prompted, prefilled with the number clicked. When an email address on your Profile is clicked, the default email app will be prompted to draft an email to that address. When an address on the Profile is clicked, the Google Map app will be prompted to show the address there.

For the Linkpage, those contact details are hidden (but can be saved directly by clicking the "save contact" button). If you want the viewers of your Linkpage can contact you easily, you may add your social media links, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and so on.

No. No app is required when tapping or scanning your ZoloCard. ZoloCard works with an NFC chip and a QR code that can prompt to the page or link that you want to share. Any modern smartphone will work, without requiring any additional app.

While the Zolo system is completely web-based and there is no mobile app for Zolo, you can easily add the Zolo portal to your home screen or app drawer and use it as just like a mobile app.

For example, for Android smartphones, if you are using Chrome browser, go to www.myzolo.me and click the 3-dots icon on the top-right corner. Then, select "Install and create shortcut". Next, optionally, you may enter the name of the app you want it to appear on your phone (e.g. Zolo, ZoloCard, Business Card, etc.). Finally, click "Install", and then the MyZolo Login page is in your app drawer. You may add it your home screen if you like. Whenever you want to access your MyZolo account, simply log in with this "app".

For iPhone users with Safari, go to www.myzolo.me and tap the 3-dots icon and then tap Share. Next, scroll down the list of options, and then tap "Add to Home Screen".

After logging into your MyZolo account, click the "setting button" (the rightmost button) on the navigation bar at the top. Then, scroll down to the "Change Password" section to update you password.

Please note that MyZolo accounts do NOT have a "forget password" option so please make sure you remember or safely keep your new password if you change it.

While the Zolo system follows industrial standard protocols for security, all information that you share via your MyZolo account is meant to be shared online, so it is not private. You should avoid sharing sensitive personal and company data.

For more information, please see the terms of service of Zolo.

After logging into your MyZolo account, click the "setting button" (the rightmost button) on the navigation bar at the top. Then, scroll down to the "Factory Reset" section to reset your account.

Please note that after resetting your MyZolo account, all your contact details and links will be deleted and your ZoloCard will be unset, while your Card ID, password and serial number will NOT change. Also, you will be logged out after resetting.

Due to security reasons, you cannot order multiple new ZoloCards associated with the same new MyZolo account in one order. If you order more than one ZoloCards in an order, they will be linked to different MyZolo accounts with different Card IDs and URLs.

However, you can order new ZoloCards associated with the MyZolo account that you already own. After logging into your account, click the "setting button" (the rightmost button) on the navigation bar at the top. Then, go to the "MyZolo Account Serial Number" section and you can view or copy your account serial number. Enter this serial number in the designated field when you order a new ZoloCard, and your new card will be associated with your own MyZolo account.

No. Once you have purchased your ZoloCard, the MyZolo account that comes with it will be free for you to use forever, without any fee.

To delete your MyZolo account, please send an email with the serial number of your MyZolo account to zolo@minuteobjects.com and state that "I confirm I want to delete my MyZolo account". Alternatively, you may also send this message to us through our contact form. Then, we will delete your account entirely and permanently.

To find the serial number of your account, after logging in, click the "setting button" (the rightmost button) on the navigation bar at the top. Then, go to the "MyZolo Account Serial Number" section and you can view or copy your account serial number.

Please note that the deletion is irreversible. And, if your account is deleted, the link of your ZoloCard(s) associated with the account will not work anymore.
